DEATH VALLEY NP: California








Another long awaited and much studied adventure. We hit it just right: Spring Break, 2009. Not too hot, perfect weather, a brilliant variety of sights and environments, light traffic, great company!

'The Racetrack' and its moving rock mystery...


Wildrose Charcoal Kilns: Built in 1877 to produce fuel for the surrounding silver mines. They still smell smokey inside!
Wildrose Peak: 9,064 ft. looking down on The Badwater: 182 ft. below Sea Level!

    wow! the pics are breathtaking! hiking rocks! a friend of mine hiked the entire appalachian trail and finished in November. I wish i had the time...
